Default Necro Weapons.

I don't understand why necros have such a limited choice of weapons. I mean look the only one handed one (that I actually know of) is the Trucheon. Don't need to go any further on that one.. And all the staffs are the same besides the dead one or whatever which still looks lame lol. Anyway am I missing something or what? Storm Bows, Chaos Axes, Fiery Dragon, Fellblades, and the list goes on. I think the Ghostly Staff can but ehh the chance of getting one you need is slim to none.

There are so many other choices for the other classes (not sure about mesmer, ele) so why not necros?

Not what I am getting at. I am not talking about one handed vs. two handed, I am saying in general. Look how many different styles of bows there are and look at necro (and MESMER like I said I know nothing of them) weapons. Jus hope that future release won't focus just on bows, swords, and axes like currently.

you'd have to be real close to use it. Though I guess if you're a beast master you probably aren't using your bow anyway

It would be pretty cool to have

Shall I continue then?

Ok.

Monk:
One Hand-
Holy Rod, Smiting Rod

Staff:
Healing Staff, Smiting Staff

---------

Ele:
Each Element 1 Wand

Each Element 1 Staff

Do you really want to continue who has the lowest choice of weapons amoung casters? Rangers have multiple bows because they have only one weapon at all.

Warriors are the only class that have around 5 different styles to their weapons in each weapon class.

That I know over, there are only two universal staves.
The Shadow Staff and the Ghostly Staff.

There are no universal one hands that I know of.

Because your argument isnt right.

Your saying that casters should have more kinds of weapons available to them, when you are only looking at your class and not the big picture.

(I'm not counting Greens here)

Rangers: 13 known bows

Warriors:
Sword: 9
Axe: 11
Hammer: 11

Necro:
5 total weapons

Ele:
8 Total weapons

Monk:
4 total weapons

Mesmer:
3 Total weapons

Total Caster Weapons: 20
Wand: 9
Staves: 11

I don't think the OP is looking for new weapon styles for Existing weapon classes (rod/staff). The trucheon does look... dumb. I'd like to see more "grim reaper" style wands/staffs for the necromancer myself.

oh, I know what he meant. He meant he wanted different skins for existing weapon classes.

Its all about being unique looking. The thing is, if there were as many melee or range classes as their were caster classes, then him using things like the multitude of warrior and Ranger weapons would be justified.

But as it stands, that's not how it is. So Rangers and Warriors, who are the only ones of their type in the game, have multiple designs. Where as you see The Caster with mulitple designs, depending on your class.

I know I was only looking at my own class because that's really the only one I know a lot about in that meaning. I mean if you want me to edit out and add in Casters instead of just necro's I will do it lol.

Alot of the Green Caster weapons offered new looks for the existing weapon types.

One of my favorites is the Willcrusher look on a Domination Mesmer Staff.

The thing with wands and staves vs bows/axes/swords/hammers is you shouldn't approach it as a class thing but as a weapon type thing.

Wands and Staves fullfill a sort of "Skill on a stick" role, since no class but Ranger and Warrior have Weapon Mastery skills.

Even then, eventually there is bound to be more prestige caster weapons as time goes on. There is no need to feel jilted because there are not around now.

Shadow staff and Ghostly staff :P
And If u have a full black armor I would go for the shadow staff, but a Ghostly staff is the best looking staff in GW :P

Woah forgot about this thread lol. I think the Dead Staff (nothing special in looks) is also a universal one. Oh well, still think there should be more weapons for CASTERS in general ^^

Well actually there isn't a single staff for each element; the water and fire staff looks exactly the same, and also happens to be the same model staff for the domination and inspiration based staves as well.

Whoa Whoa Whoa. Are we talking about weapon skins? Or Weapon Names? Or weapons for specific attributes? Or all of the above?

Necro Weapon Names
Bone Staff
Dead Staff
Accursed Staff
Cruel Staff
Wicked Staff
Truncheon
Deadly Cesta

Necro Weapon Skins
Bone Staff Skin
Accursed Staff Skin
Dead Staff Skin
Truncheon Skin
Deadly Cesta Skin

Necro Weapons by Available Attributes
Bone Staff, Cruel Staff, Deadly Cesta, and Truncheon (Blood Magic)
Accursed Staff, Wicked Staff, Truncheon, and Deadly Cesta (Curses)
Dead Staff, Bone Staff, and Truncheon (Death Magic)

If you look at it from all three directions, it looks like Necros have lots of weapons. And that's not even counting the Ghostly Staves and Shadow Staves.

P.S. Now that the green weapons from Sorrow's Furnace are out, there's even more Necro Weapon Skins.
